About the Role

Terros Health is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant for our Oak location in Phoenix, AZ (near 44th St/Oak). This is an integrated care setting offering both primary care and mental health services. On-site primary care experience and NextGen experience are pluses.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing medical assistance to patients to establish and reach treatment goals.
• Prepare patients for examinations, take medical histories, and assist physicians during exams.
• Explain medical procedures to patients.
• Coordinate client information with behavioral health and other specialty care offices.
• Follow up on pharmacy, client, and staff phone calls; coordinate responses based on medical staff consult.
• Maintain knowledge, skills, and service coordination for the role.
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, greet patients, and handle general clerical duties.
• Follow up on client requests via phone/letter as directed by medical practitioners.
• Update patient files, schedule medical tests, and arrange hospital admissions.
• Follow up on missed medical appointments to re-engage patients.
• Seek clinical supervision to ensure effective supportive services.
• Establish and maintain patient documentation conforming to agency guidelines, best practices, and state regulations.
• Complete client documentation, including progress notes and medical intake paperwork, on the date of service.

Pay

Excellent compensation ranging from $17.87 to $21+ per hour, depending on years of Medical Assistant experience. Additional language differential pay of $1/hour (approximately $2,080 annually) is available for fluency in Spanish, Vietnamese, Korean, Arabic, Farsi, Swahili, or American Sign Language (ASL).
