Medical Assistant/Patient Support Associate (MA/PSA) - Medical Group Ortho Sports Medicine

Hourly Pay Range: $19.89 - $28.84 – The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

About the Role

Full-time position (40 hours per week) based in Lincolnshire, IL. Hours are Monday to Friday, varying between 7:00 AM–7:00 PM, with rotating Saturdays (1–2 per quarter, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM). Some travel to other locations and flexible hours may be required to meet operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and schedule appointments
• Collect co-payments and complete patient registration
• Provide administrative support to the physician practice
• Check in and check out patients
• Verify insurances
• Greet patients and escort them to exam rooms
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications, and reason for office visit
• Provide front office support as needed
• Perform basic vitals (blood pressure, height, weight)
• Perform phlebotomy and injections as required

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience (required)
• Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program (preferred, but not required)
• CPR certification through the American Heart Association (required)
• Medical Assistant Certification (AMT, AAMA, ARMA, CCMA, CMA, MAC, AMCA) (preferred, but not required)
• One year of work experience (required)
• Previous experience in a medical office or related field (preferred)
• On-the-job training provided for those without prior medical assistant training or experience
