Position Highlights
Position: Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant
Primary Location: Glenview, IL
Full Time/Part Time: Full Time (40 hours per week)
Hours: Monday to Friday 7:00AM-4:00PM; weekend rotation every 2-3 months Saturdays 7:00AM-4:00PM and Sundays 7:00AM-2:00PM
Required Travel: Travel to other sites as needed (Skokie and Lincolnshire)
What You Will Do
- Answer phones
- Schedule appointments
- Collect co-payments
- Complete patient registration
- Provide other administrative support to the physician practice
- Check in and check out patient
- Verify insurances
- Greet patients and escort them to exam room
- Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for office visit
- Provide front office support as needed
- Perform basic vitals like BP, height and weight
- Phlebotomy and injections may be required
- Work with Trauma Care Team at Glenbrook Hospital primarily, as well as Skokie and Lincolnshire Ortho offices as needed
What You Will Need
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required. Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred, but not required
- Certification: CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) is preferred, but not required
- Experience: Strong clinical skills and Epic experience; One year of work experience required, previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred

The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
