Medical Assistant or Clinical Team Assistant - Palliative Care, Rockport
This is a full-time, 36-hour per week position.
About the role
Pen Bay Hospital is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant or Clinical Team Assistant to support providers and patients through every stage of care. The role involves helping coordinate visits and creating a comforting and supportive experience for patients and their families.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient visits and appointments
- Assist with administrative tasks
- Provide patient education and support
- Support providers in the examination room
- Perform basic diagnostic tests as directed
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Current AAMA, NHA, AMT, NCCT, or NREMT certification preferred
- Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date
- Relevant experience as a Medical Assistant preferred
Qualifications
- Medical Assisting program completion with 160 hours of clinical experience
- Completion of an Adult Education Medical Assistant program with 6 months of clinical experience
- One year of clinical experience in a multi-provider practice setting
