About the role
JourneyCare Hospice is seeking a Clinical Team Assistant to join their expanding care team. The ideal candidate will be part of a supportive environment that values both personal time and professional development, offering growth opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Manage all daily clinical records functions including establishing and implementing clinical records policies.
- Ensure clinical record systems are maintained in compliance with state, federal, and other regulations.
- Maintain comprehensive working knowledge of state, federal, and other documentation regulations and serve as a resource for appropriate organization personnel.
- Protect all clinical records through the establishment and implementation of control procedures for all open and closed records.
- Protect the confidentiality of patient and organization information through effective controls and direct supervision of clinical records.
- Forward copies of clinical records to authorized users according to policy.
- Complete an administrative record audit following patient discharge and forward the record to the Clinical Supervisor for clinical audit.
Requirements
- Prefer at least three years’ experience in clinical records management, preferably in hospice care operations.
- LVN/LPN license preferred, but not required.
- Information systems knowledge required.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and direct clerical personnel.
- Demonstrated good communication skills and public relations skills.
- Demonstrated autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility, and cooperation in performing job responsibilities.
- Experience with Word, Excel, Microsoft Teams preferred.
Qualifications

Pay
$20 - $28 hourly - Offer based on years of experience.
Schedule
HOURS: Monday-Friday 8:30AM-5PM

TERRITORY: Barrington, IL - Office based position in Barrington office.
