About the role

Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Las Colinas is a joint venture between Baylor Scott & White Health (BSWH), United Surgical Partners International (USPI), and dedicated local physicians. Established in 2003 as Irving Coppell Surgical Hospital, the facility serves the North Texas region with 7 Operating Rooms, 12 private inpatient rooms, and a 3-bed Emergency Department. Specialties include Orthopedics, Joint Replacement, Spine, Urology, General Surgery, ENT, and more. The hospital combines cutting-edge technology with a mission to provide top-notch surgical care in a welcoming, safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs clerical duties including distribution of messages
• Performs clinical duties under the direction of an RN, including assisting patients to the restroom, removing IV catheters, and similar tasks
• Cleans rooms as needed
• Assists RNs as instructed
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
• License: Medical Assistant Certification or equivalent preferred
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years experience in Tele/Med-Surg hospital setting preferred
• Previous experience with Electronic Healthcare Record helpful
