Responsibilities
- Rooming patients
- Obtaining and documenting vital signs and medical histories
- Preparing patients for examinations and procedures
- Cooking referrals and diagnostic testing
- Managing electronic medical records
- Aiding with patient education and follow-up care
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Graduated from an accredited vocational institution or community college in Medical Assisting with 160 hours of clinical experience completed
- Completion of an Adult Education Medical Assistant program and 6 months of clinical experience in a practice setting
- 1 year of clinical experience in a multi-provider practice setting
- Current AAMA, NHA, AMT, NCCT, or NREMT certification preferred or achieved within one year of eligibility
- Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date
- NH Med Tech License, or NH EMT and National Registry EMT license is required for those positions located in New Hampshire
- One year of experience as a Medical Assistant (without certification) or as a MaineHealth Clinical Team Assistant

Pay
- Sign on bonuses available for Medical Assistants: 0-1 years of experience eligible for $4,000 (full time); 1+ years of experience eligible for $5,000 (full time)
