Job Overview

NextCare is seeking a Radiology Technician (RT) or Practical Technologist in Radiology (PTR) / Limited Scope Operator (LSO) / Limited Medical Radiology Technologist (LMRT) / Limited Scope Radiology Technician (LSRT) who enjoys a fast-paced environment and collaborative team work. With over 165 urgent care clinics across eleven states, NextCare provides high-quality, affordable healthcare to patients.

Responsibilities

  • Performs radiology duties within the scope of practice as stated in NextCare Policies and Procedures, as well as state radiation rules and regulations.
  • Assists providers with exams (including patient vitals), procedures, and other patient care processes under direct supervision.
  • Administers medications according to policy and under provider direction, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Maintains responsibility for urine collection for various tests, including employer drug screens.
  • Performs splinting and casting, conducts various types of physicals, such as sports physicals.
  • Notifies the on-duty provider promptly of unusual patient occurrences and reports incidents on an incident report.
  • Notifies the Clinic Manager of patient or employee safety concerns.
  • Follows guidelines and requirements for laboratory and clinical accreditation policies.
  • Proficient in EMR/EHR systems.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or described by company policy.

Essential Education, Experience & Skills

  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Diploma or certificate from an accredited radiology school, or equivalent experience.
  • Certified Radiology Technician (RT) or Practical Technologist in Radiology (PTR) / Limited Scope Operator (LSO) / Limited Medical Radiology Technologist (LMRT) / Limited Scope Radiology Technician (LSRT).
  • Current healthcare professional-level CPR certification from American Heart Association, American Red Cross, American Safety Health Institute, or National Safety Benefits.
