Certified Medical Assistant - P/T

About the role

CoreCivic is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant part-time to provide high-quality care in an institutional setting.

Responsibilities

• Administer medication to inmates/residents under the direct supervision of the Health Services Administrator.
• Obtain, monitor, record and report vital signs and patient's condition as needed.
• Prepare patients for physical exams, procedures and treatments.
• Aid nurse/physician with physical exams, procedures and treatments.
• Engage in functions in confined areas, including rotating shifts and securing the facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED certification or equivalent.
• State certification as a Medical Assistant in the state of employment or meet state guidelines for exceptions to certification.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Minimum age requirement: At least 21 years old.
