About the role
This position involves providing clinical support as a Medical Assistant or Senior Medical Assistant, working under the delegation of licensed practitioners to assist in patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties such as obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration
- Support patient interactions with high-quality customer service
- For Senior Medical Assistants: take initiative, serve as a mentor, and contribute to quality improvement efforts
- Adhere to established policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure safe and effective care
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited medical assistant program, apprenticeship, or military medical training
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (Washington state required upon hire)
- Experience in a clinical setting, with a minimum of 6 months for Medical Assistants and 2 years for Senior Medical Assistants
- Additional certifications such as BLS or National Medical Assistant certification are preferred
