Location: 7 Elm Street, Enfield (10502) – Mon-Fri schedule with required travel across the region to provide coverage in Primary and Specialty Care settings.

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic clinical and clerical support within the Medical Assistant scope of practice, including vitals, medication and allergy reconciliation, screenings, patient history, and virtual health.
  • Conduct point-of-care testing, including quality control and documentation.
  • Assist providers with in-house procedures as needed.
  • Provide administrative support: scheduling, chart prep, referrals, check-in/out, prior authorizations, and transportation facilitation.
  • Float to other offices based on business needs, collaborating across multiple teams and communities.

Additional responsibilities and career advancement opportunities are available through a clinical ladder for Medical Assistants based on experience, skillsets, and certifications.

Requirements

  • Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program OR an active CT CNA, EMT, Paramedic, or Medic Certification OR at least one year of direct patient care experience (acute or ambulatory).
  • Relevant experience or MA externship in a busy medical office preferred.
  • EPIC EMR experience preferred.
  • Certified BLS Provider credential from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 months of hire; must be maintained throughout employment.
