Location: St. Vincent’s Medical Center (10427). Travel is required; float to other offices based on business needs. Shift: Monday–Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic clinical and clerical support within the Medical Assistant scope of education.
  • Obtain vitals, reconcile outside medications and allergies, conduct screenings, document patient history, and support virtual health.
  • Conduct point-of-care testing, including quality control and documentation.
  • Assist providers with in-house procedures as needed.
  • Provide administrative support: scheduling, chart prep, referrals, check-in/out, prior authorizations, and transportation facilitation.
  • Float to other offices based on business needs, bringing variety to your workday and collaborating across multiple teams and communities.

Additional responsibilities and career advancement opportunities are available through a clinical ladder for Medical Assistants based on experience, skillsets, and certifications held.

Requirements

  • Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program OR an active CT CNA, EMT, Paramedic, or Medic Certification OR at least one year of direct patient care experience (acute or ambulatory) in lieu of education.
  • Certified BLS Provider credential from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date; must be maintained throughout employment.

Qualifications

  • Relevant experience or MA externship in a busy medical office preferred.
  • EPIC EMR experience preferred.
