Medical Assistant/LPN - Elk River - X-Ray Operator Skills Required

About the role

The Medical Assistant will manage patient flow and assist providers in managing and treating patients. Responsibilities include collaborating with the Clinic Supervisor, Manager, and Providers to meet defined goals.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient flow throughout the clinic
• Absorb and delegate tasks as per the Blaze Health Medical Assistant scope of practice
• Communicate effectively with the healthcare team regarding patient progress, concerns, questions, or problems
• Perform unit-based skills as outlined in the Blaze Health Unit Based Skills List
• Participate in competency assessments and validations as per Blaze Health policy

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent with medical assistant program accreditation (or RMA program accreditation)
• Previous medical assistant experience within North Memorial Health system preferred
• Current BLS certification
• Registered Medical Assistant certification (if RMA program attended)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of a medical assistant program accredited by a recognized accrediting organization
• Graduate of a registered medical assistant program accredited by a national health services organization
• Six months of previous medical assistant experience within the North Memorial Health system
• Passed X-Ray Operator’s examination, or willing to take the exam according to individual clinic needs
