About the Role

Emplify by Gundersen's mission is to provide Love + Medicine to every patient. The Sports Medicine team is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join their team at the Onalaska Clinic and Winona Campus. Travel to the Winona Campus is 1‑2 times every other week with mileage reimbursement.

Schedule

0.6 FTE, 48 hours bi‑weekly, Monday through Friday. No weekends or holidays. Scheduled weekly hours: 24.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients with a warm smile and set a positive tone for appointments.
• Support providers in caring for patients with sports‑related injuries.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist with clinical procedures.
• Update patient information in charting systems.
• Take vital signs.

Requirements

• Graduate of a Medical Assistant, Practical Nursing, or Vocational Nurse program, or have completed education to be eligible for NCLEX‑PN.
• High School Diploma or equivalency and attained a Medical Assistant Certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare workers.
• Medical Assistant Certification within 15 months of hire date.

Pay

Starting pay of $21.34 per hour, with additional compensation for experience.
