Responsibilities
- Determines and documents patient conditions and needs via phone triage.
- Assists providers with patient preparation and treatment.
- Prepares exam rooms and equipment for patient examinations.
- Performs phlebotomy and specimen collection.
- Orders and schedules diagnostic tests.
- Communicates with pharmacies to handle prescription refills.
- Provides patient education and support.
- Handles administrative tasks such as scheduling and record keeping.
Requirements
- Completion of an approved Medical Assistant Program.
- Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Medication Aide Registry (MAR or MAR.40).
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
- Effective time management and task prioritization.
- Proficient typing and computer navigation skills.
- Caring and clear communication skills.
- Problem-solving abilities.
- Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) understanding.
Qualifications
- Completion of an approved Medical Assistant Program.
- 6 months of previous medical assistant experience preferred.
- Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Medication Aide Registry (MAR or MAR.40) certification.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.

Pay
The pay for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience.
Schedule
The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, hours between 8am - 5pm. There are no weekends or national holidays.
