Scope of work

• Maintains patient flow by assisting and promoting the delivery of primary and preventative health care.
• Performs technical procedures, lab protocols, and clinically oriented activities under physician/provider direction.
• Auxiliary to the physician/provider by providing primary healthcare and patient care management.
• Collaborates with the clerical staff to optimize operations and patient flow.
• Interacts with outside healthcare facilities and agencies involving patient care and insurance.
• Maintains updated competencies, demonstrating ability to speak to leadership and accreditation bodies about process and workflow.
• Provides front office duties to provide coverage as needed.
• Provides coverage in other departments or locations as needed.
• Demonstrates excellent customer services skills and supports the model of patient and family centered care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a competency-based accredited MA program, including a clinical rotation, or equivalent experience.
• Required 1 year (12 months) MA experience; or completed CH MA internship and (6) months MA experience; or completed CH MA apprenticeship program.
• Preferred CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association.
• Preferred CRT-Medical Assistant, Certified (CMA) - AAMA American Association of Medical Assistants.
• Preferred LIC-License Practical Nursing (LPN) - State of Michigan upon hire.

$1,000 sign on bonus for external applicants.
