About the role

Corewell Health Big Rapids Hospital Family Medicine is a comprehensive primary care practice serving patients in the Big Rapids community and surrounding areas. The practice works closely with the Canadian Lakes Family Medicine office and offers a team of experienced healthcare professionals including Family Medicine physicians, Internal Medicine physicians, Pediatricians, and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).

Responsibilities

• Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
• Maintain a supportive and collaborative environment among the clinical support team.
• Assist in patient care coordination and support.
• Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling correspondence.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of a hands-on competency-based medical assistant training program.
• 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting.
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required within 90 days.
• AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA), NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) certification required within 120 days.

Qualifications
