Responsibilities
- Supports patient care by performing both clinical and administrative tasks in outpatient and ambulatory care settings
- Assists healthcare providers with patient intake, routine procedures, and documentation
- Ensures a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for patients
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Carries out all job responsibilities in alignment with Kettering Health's mission, vision, values, and B Safe program
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of a Medical Assistant training program from an accredited institution or equivalent experience as allowed by state law
- Typically two (2) years of experience as a medical assistant or in a similar clinical support role
- Current certification as a Medical Assistant through an accredited professional organization (e.g., AAMA, AMT, ARMA, NCCT, NHA, NAHP, AMCA) or equivalent credential as recognized by Kettering Health
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a multi-provider outpatient or ambulatory care setting
