Medical Assistant II (Dual Role)

Job Description Summary ‎ We are seeking a friendly, compassionate Medical Assistant at our Bonita Springs clinic to support both our front office and clinical teams in delivering exceptional, patient-centered care. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients—welcoming them with a warm smile, assisting with check-in, and ensuring a smooth, efficient visit. You will also support providers with clinical tasks such as patient intake, assisting with exams and procedures, performing basic tests, and helping patients feel comfortable and informed throughout their care. Your attention to detail, teamwork, and dedication to service will have a direct impact on the health and wellness of our community. ‎ How Will You Make An Impact & Requirements ‎ Key Responsibilities Perform patient intake, including vital signs, medical history, medications, and allergiesAssist providers with exams, procedures, wound care, and diagnostic testingPerform EKGs, immunizations, and specimen collection per protocolPrepare and process lab samples and point-of-care tests accuratelyMaintain infection control, safety standards, and clinical equipmentSupport patient triage, care coordination, and education on treatment plansDocument all patient care and updates in the EHR accuratelyManage front office functions including patient check-in, registration, and schedulingVerify insurance, process authorizations, and collect copaymentsHandle calls, referrals, medical records, and administrative tasks (filing, faxing, scanning)Coordinate appointments and ensure efficient patient flow across providersReview accounts, resolve discrepancies, and support billing processesEnsure HIPAA compliance, patient confidentiality, and regulatory standardsMonitor inventory and prepare exam rooms with necessary suppliesSupport quality improvement initiatives and maintain accurate documentationProvide professional, compassionate customer service to patients and staff Requirements 2+ year of Medical Assistant experience required; clinical/internship experience a plus2+ years of experience in front office administrative tasks (check-in/out, phone call management, etc.) requiredHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredGraduate of an accredited Medical Assistant programFamiliarity with EHR systems; Athena EMR preferredTravel: Float to other Millennium Physician Group offices when needed About Millennium Physician Group Formed in 2008 and headquartered in Fort Myers, Florida, with offices in Florida, North Carolina, Georgia, and Texas, Millennium Healthcare is the largest independent physician group in the state of Florida and one of the largest in the United States.
