Medical Assistant/Clinical Service Specialist, Per Diem - Nomad, NY

About the role

VIVO Infusion, LLC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant/Clinical Service Specialist to join our team at our Nomad, NY location. In this position, you will play a crucial role in our clinical operations by providing essential support to our medical team, patients, and the infusion center.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes patients, updates patient charts, and communicates pertinent patient data to providers and nurses.
• Assists with scheduling, managing phone calls, and processing payments.
• Oversees and ensures efficient turnover of exam rooms.
• Aids in collecting, preparing, and submitting lab specimens as directed.
• Triage patient phone calls and messages and documents them appropriately.
• Orders and manages supplies under the direction of the manager.
• Disinfects and stocks exam rooms.
• Assists in obtaining records required for the patient's chart.
• Demonstrates effective communication skills and reports patient issues as needed.
• Fulfills administrative tasks as directed by the Clinical Operations Manager.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification required prior to start date.
• One year of experience working within a clinical environment.
• One year in an administrative, patient-facing, or customer service role.
• Phlebotomy and lab processing skills preferred.

Skills

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as needed.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Computer skills for electronic recordkeeping.
• Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Pay

Pay Range: $24.00 - $27.00/hour
