Responsibilities

• Perform point of care testing including hemoglobin A1C testing and point of care glucose monitoring.
• Responsible for diabetes device data uploads into the electronic health record including pump therapy data and continuous glucose monitoring data.
• Perform individualized patient procedures, treatment and tests.
• Perform associated clerical tasks including chart preparation, stocking clinic supplies and answering telephones.
• Provide advanced assistance with medical clinic operations and monitoring of clinic flow.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience
• Current Medical Assistant – Certified designation by Washington Department of Health (DOH). Current Interim Certification through WA State can be substituted for up to 12 months from issue date.
• Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS).

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited medical assistant program
• Current National Medical Assistant Association Certification (eligible for premium)
• Current Medical Assistant experience in Pediatrics, Urgent Care experience and/or Medical screening and immunization.

Pay

Compensation range: $26.51 - $39.76 per hour. This range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided. Note: This compensation range is specific to Seattle; positions located outside of Seattle may be compensated differently.
