Medical Assistant-Certified

Brief Description

Quincy Community Health Center is seeking an energetic Medical Assistant to join their Medical team. The Medical Assistant supports patient care, workflow management, and care coordination.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care responsibilities to support the medical visit and prepare patient for exam/treatment.
• Organizes and manages the daily workflow to support the provider and the team.
• Ensures the patient's medical chart is updated, complete, and accurate.
• Supports care coordination to ensure continuity of care and follow-up.
• Performs room preparation, maintenance, sterilization, and quality procedures according to OSHA standards and clinic policy.
• Participates as a member of the Care Team and actively participates in Quality Improvement efforts.
• Provides excellent service and support to patients and colleagues.
• (For Same Day Clinic only): Performs phlebotomy duties.

Requirements

• Specific knowledge and training in medical assisting, typically acquired through a certificate or license program in medical assisting lasting up to one year.
• Must obtain Medical Assistant licensure with the State of Washington.
• Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills, computational and computer skills, and mathematical knowledge typically acquired through a high school program.
• Ability to read and speak Spanish is required.
• Completes annual mandatory education.
• Travel between work sites as needed.
