About the role
The successful candidate must be a certified medical assistant with a two-year commitment. A sign-on bonus is offered.
Responsibilities
- Prepares patients for treatment, testing, and examination by a Provider
- Aids the Registered Nurse with patient flow
- Connects patients with ancillary services
- Maintains work area and exam rooms
- Stocks supplies
- Communicates with patients, as directed by Provider and Licensed Nurse
- Manages provider computer desktop flow on a daily basis
- Administers and demonstrates knowledge of medications administered up to scope of licensure
- Assists with patient education
- Promotes a positive work culture and upholds clinic policies and procedures
Requirements
- Current Medical Assistant Certified license with the State of Washington
- BLS for Healthcare Providers card
Qualifications
- Basic written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with the processes and operations performed during the work day
- Basic medical terminology/anatomy knowledge
Skills
- Bilingual in English/Spanish (verbal and written)
