Medical Assistant - Bellevue Office

About the role

Under the supervision of the Physician/Provider, this position assists in minor office procedures and injections, performs patient intake assessments, discharges patients from clinic and procedures, educates patients on procedures and medication changes, as well as new medications.

Responsibilities

• Assists Physician/Provider with patient care as required.
• Maintain patient records, and prepare necessary forms for billing, prior authorization of meds if indicated.
• Answer telephone calls and places calls as directed.
• Documents all messages.
• Is able to know, understand, and follow directions as given by the Physician/Provider.
• Stocks supplies and completes form for needed equipment and supplies.
• Conducts vital signs, EKG's and pain assessment.
• Reviews H&P and MAR.
• Schedules patient visits and assists with charts.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Certified Medical Assistant.
• Knowledge of office procedures and equipment.
• Experience in giving injections.
• Typing and medical terminology experience.
• CPR certification required.
• Prior Authorization and Precertification experience preferred.
