Medical Assistant Adjunct Instructor (AM or PM)
About the role
We are looking for a Medical Assistant Adjunct Instructor for our Medical Assistant Technician Diploma Program. This program prepares students for entry-level employment as medical assistant technicians, offering both classroom and supervised clinical practice.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for various technical examinations, such as EKGs and phlebotomy.
- Perform several medical assistant procedures under supervision.
- Teach medical assistant techniques to students in both the classroom and clinical settings.
- Utilize diverse resources to deliver course content effectively.
- Engage in continuous professional development and stay updated with industry standards.
Requirements
- A minimum Associate Degree or higher.
- A current valid Medical Assistant Certification: RMA, CMA, or NCMA.
- A minimum of 3 years of successful teaching experience at the college level, preferably in the proprietary school setting.
- A minimum of 3 years of work experience in the medical assisting field.
Qualifications
- Exceptional computer skills using Microsoft Office applications, Adobe, and information systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Skills
- Effective teaching and instructional design skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in using technology for educational purposes.
