Medical Assistant Adjunct Instructor (AM or PM)

About the role

We are looking for a Medical Assistant Adjunct Instructor for our Medical Assistant Technician Diploma Program. This program prepares students for entry-level employment as medical assistant technicians, offering both classroom and supervised clinical practice.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for various technical examinations, such as EKGs and phlebotomy.
• Perform several medical assistant procedures under supervision.
• Teach medical assistant techniques to students in both the classroom and clinical settings.
• Utilize diverse resources to deliver course content effectively.
• Engage in continuous professional development and stay updated with industry standards.

Requirements

• A minimum Associate Degree or higher.
• A current valid Medical Assistant Certification: RMA, CMA, or NCMA.
• A minimum of 3 years of successful teaching experience at the college level, preferably in the proprietary school setting.
• A minimum of 3 years of work experience in the medical assisting field.

Qualifications

• Exceptional computer skills using Microsoft Office applications, Adobe, and information systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Skills

• Effective teaching and instructional design skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in using technology for educational purposes.
