About the role
We are seeking a Medical Assistant Adjunct Instructor for our Medical Assistant Technician Diploma Program. This program prepares students for entry-level employment as medical assistant technicians, combining classroom learning with supervised clinical practice.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for various technical examinations, including EKGs and phlebotomy.
- Perform several medical assistant procedures under supervision.
- Teach students the necessary knowledge and skills for their future careers.
Requirements
- An Associate Degree or higher is required.
- A current Florida Certified Medical Assistant (BMO) is preferred.
- A current valid Medical Assistant Certification (RMA, CMA, or NCMA) is required.
- A minimum of 3 years of successful teaching experience at the college level, preferably in the proprietary school setting.
- A minimum of 3 years of work experience in the medical assisting field.
Qualifications
- Exceptional computer skills using Microsoft Office applications, Adobe, and familiarity with information systems.
- Ability to deliver courses using diverse resources.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
