Medical Assistant Adjunct Instructor

About the role

We are seeking a Medical Assistant Adjunct Instructor for our Medical Assistant Technician Diploma Program at the Lakeland Campus. This position is ideal for individuals with a passion for teaching and a desire to share their expertise in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for various technical examinations, such as EKGs and phlebotomy.
• Perform several medical assistant procedures under supervision.
• Teach theoretical and practical aspects of medical assisting in the classroom and clinical settings.
• Develop lesson plans and assessments aligned with curriculum objectives.
• Assist with administrative tasks related to the program.

Requirements

• An Associate Degree or higher is required.
• A current Florida Certified Medical Assistant (BMO) is preferred.
• A current valid Medical Assistant Certification: RMA, CMA, or NCMA is required.
• A minimum of 3 years of successful teaching experience at the college level, preferably in the proprietary school setting.
• A minimum of 3 years of work experience in the field of medical assisting.

Qualifications

• Exceptional computer skills using Microsoft Office applications, Adobe, and familiarity with information systems.
• Ability to deliver courses using diverse resources.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Skills

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe software.
• Experience in a similar role or relevant field.
