Medical Appointments Technician

Responsibilities

• Scheduling of all medical appointments and accompanying people we support to their medical appointments.
• Interacting with health agencies and medical professionals to coordinate the best possible medical care.
• Managing medical appointments to ensure they are up-to-date and compliant with Maryland Board of Nursing (MBON) and DDA regulations.
• Aiding Program Managers and Assistant Directors in filling gaps in the schedule when medical appointments fall outside regular shift times and when people need to be taken to the ER during business hours.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalency with at least two years of relevant experience.
• Experience working with children or adults in a care-giving setting, administering medications, and accompanying people on medical appointments.
• Preferred experience working with individuals with IDD.
• Thirty (30) relevant credit hours may be substituted for one year of experience.
• Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Ability to successfully complete all required training.

Qualifications

Pay

$23.26/hr - $24.44/hr depending on education, experience, and great benefits.

Schedule

Typical work schedule is either 8am to 4pm or 9am to 5pm Monday through Friday, depending on the time of the appointments.
