Media Operations Officer
Brief Description
The Red Gate Group is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Media Operations Officer to support the Central Command Public Affairs Directorate (CCPA) in Tampa, FL.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and coordinate communication products such as public affairs guidance, media responses, talking points, and press releases.
- Provide media training expertise to senior CENTCOM leaders and designated spokespersons, preparing them for media engagements.
- Conduct daily synchronization calls with public affairs counterparts to align messaging strategies.
- Plan and execute public affairs briefings and coordinate media embeds for key CENTCOM events.
- Provide real-time media support during crisis situations, assisting with 24/7 surge operations as needed.
Qualifications
- Active Secret Clearance.
- Strong proficiency in media communications, crisis communications, and dissemination strategies.
- Ability to research, write, and deliver concise, effective media responses under tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of global outreach techniques and social media platforms for strategic communication.
- Familiarity with public affairs guidance development, Associated Press (AP) Style, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong briefing, collaboration, and critical thinking skills in high-tempo environments.
- Understanding of U.S. military structure, culture, and operational language.
Desired Qualifications
- TS/SCI Clearance.
- Previous experience in public affairs, journalism, communications, or media relations.
- Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) is a plus.
- Experience supporting 24/7 shift operations and crisis media response.
