Duties/Responsibilities

  • Possess the ability to research opportunities in your market, generate and follow through on sales leads (both warm and cold), and maintain an active pipeline of potential revenue.
  • Focus the majority of your time on developing new local direct business.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospect to close, ensuring consistency and accountability towards new business revenue and budget goals.
  • Meet with business owners, marketing executives, and advertising managers to conduct needs assessments and develop targeted digital and broadcast marketing solutions tailored to their goals and budgets.
  • Create and present compelling marketing proposals and PowerPoint presentations that align with client business objectives.
  • Maintain detailed account records, track interactions, forecast accurately, and grow existing client relationships using CRM and client management tools.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with creative, strategy, analytics, and support teams across all departments to ensure seamless campaign execution and client satisfaction.
  • Stay current with digital marketing trends, tools, and best practices to position yourself and Gray Media as trusted advisors in the marketplace.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Sales experience preferred; a background or degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is a plus.
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Willingness to learn and master digital advertising products and tools.
  • Strong relationship-building, follow-up, and customer service skills.
  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently and positively influence others in a fast-paced environment.
  • A high achiever with creativity, persistence, and a strong work ethic.
  • The ability to think critically and design solutions for complex client challenges.
  • A coachable mindset — open to feedback and committed to continuous improvement.
  • Comfortable selling to, challenging, and building trust-based relationships with executives.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record; MVR check required.
  • Must have reliable transportation that meets required insurance coverage needs.
  • Must meet Gray Media driving requirements.
