Media Assistant I PT

Hourly pay rates effective July 1, 2026:

• Lane 1 Step 1: $17.88/hour (not highly qualified)
• Lane 2 Step 1: $18.88/hour (Associate’s degree or 48 semester hours from an accredited college/university)
• Lane 3 Step 1: $19.94/hour (current or former licensed teacher – highly qualified)

About the Role

Organize and maintain the school media center, assist students and staff with locating age-appropriate resources, and support basic educational technology and media equipment.

Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain books and media materials
• Assist students and staff with locating resources
• Use computers and basic media equipment
• Maintain an organized, safe, and welcoming media center

Qualifications

• Knowledge of library/media center procedures and organization
• Familiarity with children’s literature and age-appropriate resources
• Basic proficiency with educational technology and media equipment

Skills & Abilities

• Work effectively with elementary-aged students
• Communicate and work cooperatively with students and staff
