Brief Description Responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing performance reporting, dashboards, and data-driven insights that support business decisions across SME’s print and digital media products, and related audience engagement and revenue activities. This role consolidates and interprets data from multiple sources, identifies trends, and delivers clear, actionable reporting that informs sales efforts, content and product performance, audience engagement, and planning needs. The position ensures accurate execution, a consistent reporting cadence, and timely insights that strengthen operational effectiveness and support organizational goals. Major Functions Develop and maintain a consistent reporting cadence for print and digital media products, including daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reporting.Produce accurate dashboards, visualizations and performance summaries that highlight key trends, audience engagement metrics and product outcomes.Consolidate data from multiple systems and sources; validate, clean, and format data to ensure accuracy and readiness for reporting and analysis.Analyze product, content, and advertising performance metrics to identify patterns, opportunities, and recommendations that support decision-making.Support advertising sales by preparing data-driven presentations, performance summaries and client-facing reporting that demonstrate value and inform revenue opportunities.Partner with content and product teams to provide insights that inform editorial planning, audience development and content optimization strategies.Contribute to improving reporting tools, data workflows, and analytical process by identifying technical or operational enhancements that increase efficiencies and accuracy.Document reporting processes and maintain standards for data integrity, formatting and distribution to ensure consistency across reporting cycles.Collaborate with cross-functional partners to align data needs, timelines, and deliverables related to media performance and revenue activities.Other duties as assigned Requirements MINIMUM EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Business, Marketing, or related fieldAt least 1 year of experience in data analysis, reporting, or a related analytical roleProficiency in Microsoft Office, including strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, and data manipulation); familiarity with PowerPoint required, with experience creating clear, data driven presentations and reports is preferred.Experience with data visualization or business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio)Experience working with digital or web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics)Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time-management skills Ability to manage multiple projects deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain analytical findings to non-technical audiences.Demonstrated problem-solving ability and comfort working with evolving data needs.Familiarity with SQL or database querying is preferred KEY COMPETENCIES: Core Competencies: Communication and CollaborationRelationship ManagementProfessionalism and IntegrityCritical Thinking and Decision-Making ExecutionInitiative, Leadership, and Development Job Competencies: Data management and analysisData accuracyManaging reporting cadences and deadlinesTechnical aptitudeAdaptability WORKING CONDITIONS: Standard office environmentRegular, in-person attendance requiredPrimary office location: Southfield, MITravel required Summary POSITION TITLE: Media Analytics Specialist GROUP: Media FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Exempt SME is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability and veteran status. The salary range for this position is $61,000 - $76,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. Offers typically fall within this range based on individual qualifications and budget availability. In addition to base salary, SME offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 403(b) with company matching, generous paid time off and holidays, professional development and training opportunities, and additional wellness and work-life balance benefits. Certain positions may also be eligible for bonus/incentive compensation, subject to role and company policies. SME is currently unable to hire employees residing in California, Colorado, Oregon, or Washington.
