Med-Surg - RN or LVN

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments, complete admission databases within 24 hours, and perform regular rounds to adjust care plans as patient conditions change
• Administer medications and perform clinical procedures with competency across all patient age groups within your scope of practice
• Function as a dedicated advocate, involving patients and families in care planning while maintaining strict HIPAA-compliant confidentiality
• Act as a central clinical link, documenting all interventions and reporting vital findings to the healthcare team and families
• Serve as a role model and resource for peers. Maintain a "team-first" mentality, upholding our R.I.S.E. core values, and assisting with staffing needs
• Transition smoothly between roles (such as Charge Nurse and Patient Care Nurse) and accept temporary reassignments based on your training and skills
• Ensure all nursing processes meet state and federal regulations while adhering to hospital policies and continuous quality improvement activities
• Respond promptly to call bells with a calm, courteous demeanor and maintain professional composure in high-stress situations

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing
• Currently licensed by the Texas Board of Nursing as a registered nurse or licensed vocational nurse
• Minimum one year of experience preferred
• Current CPR certification
