Mechanical Technician (Multiple Levels)

We are seeking skilled Mechanical Technicians at multiple levels to support our aerospace vehicle development. These positions are critical to ensuring the reliability and performance of our mechanical systems, contributing directly to the success of our aerospace missions.

• Work with and learn from more experienced technicians in areas such as complex mechanical assemblies, soldering, harness routing, inspection, in-process testing, precision cleaning, and structural fabrication.
• Inspect, assemble, integrate, and operationally check flight hardware, as well as assemble, test, and maintain mechanical systems and components to meet specifications and standards.
• Use precision measurement tools, ensure components meet specified tolerances while adhering to general best shop practices, including PPE and shop safety requirements.
• Follow 5S, FOD, and ESD awareness protocols, lift and carry up to 50 lbs, climb ladders and stairs, and work in restrictive spaces.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals will also be a key part of your responsibilities.

Requirements

• Typically entry-level 0 - 2 years of experience.
• Familiarity with general best shop practices, including PPE and shop safety requirements.
• Ability to perform basic equipment setup and maintenance activities and display general mechanical aptitude and hand tools/precision tools competency.
• Ability to learn and perform precision cleaning.
• Ability to learn 5S, FOD, and ESD awareness.
• Ability to conduct basic verification/troubleshooting of own work.
• Basic understanding of mechanical assemblies, soldering, harness routing, inspection, in-process testing, precision cleaning, and structural fabrication.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated progress towards formal training or education.
• Certifications: IPC & J-STD, A&P License.
• Communication skills (Both written and oral).
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or mechanical environment.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems and components.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and a willingness to learn and adapt.

Skills

• Pay Range: $22.74 - $31.28
