Mechanical Technician
Element has an opportunity for a Mechanical Technician to join our growing team within a global Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) business.

Responsibilities
- Interpret internal and client requirements
- Supervise allocated staff and manage the day-to-day operations of the relevant discipline
- Operate complex mechanical testing equipment
- Maintain accurate and systematic records
- Perform duties to fulfill laboratory demands, including general tasks aligned with Element’s internal procedures, quality, and Health & Safety systems
- Apply instrumentation and set up complex data capture equipment
- Write reports, interpret data, and perform analysis
Requirements
- Working knowledge of laboratory safety
- Performs duties comparable to a Senior Technician, with added skills from an Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a testing-related field
- Designs, sets up, and performs a variety of tests according to customer specifications
- Requires minimal supervision; works with technical input from a Principal Technician, Project Coordinator, or Test Engineer
- Ability to mentor and train less experienced technicians through effective communication of technical data
- Ability to transfer technical knowledge and successfully meet customer specifications
Physical Demands
- Ability to work overtime and weekends occasionally
- Minimum (moderate) frequency of required physical force
- Lifting requirements: frequently lift less than 50 lbs. and occasionally lift more than 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for long periods
Pay
$25–$30 per hour, depending on experience.
