Mechanical Technician 2nd shift

About the role

The Mechanical Technician will be responsible for the efficient and accurate maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical equipment on-site, while ensuring a safe, organized, and compliant work environment.

Responsibilities

• Works within Essity safety standards, with responsibility for personal and others' safety
• Conducts regular inspections and maintenance of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operation
• Troubleshoots mechanical issues and diagnose problems in machinery and related systems
• Repairs or replaces worn or malfunctioning parts and equipment
• Documents maintenance and repair work, creating detailed reports
• Sets up and calibrates new equipment following manufacturer guidelines and industry standards
• Implements preventive maintenance plans to minimize downtime and extend machinery lifespan
• Uses specialized tools for mechanical system adjustments
• Performs all other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, and mechanical education
• Hands-on experience through internships or previous roles in mechanical settings
• Stay updated with the latest technological advancements relevant to the field through training and workshops
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills
• Basic mathematical and literacy skills
• Able to lift and frequently stand, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach

Qualifications

• Reside in the Dover, DE area or be comfortable commuting to the location
• Schedule: 2:30PM to 11:00PM
