If you are an HVACR professional

Looking for an opportunity to grow? Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Sidney, OH location, you will work in conjunction with product engineers to design, develop, and qualify compressors for HVACR systems.

Join Our Team

  • Follow engineering laboratory test instructions to conduct developmental testing of compressors.
  • Set up and install compressors and support compressor electronics for test purposes.
  • Operate laboratory test equipment including C02 stands, calorimeters, durability life test stands, data acquisition systems, and other measuring equipment used to acquire compressor performance characteristics.
  • Fabricate supporting test fixtures and controls required for non-standard tests or builds.
  • Review test data for compliance with applicable test data standards.
  • Provide input on optimizing work processes to improve the overall efficiency of the lab.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Associate's degree plus two to three (2-3) years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic HVAC, mechanical, and electrical skills.
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Personal computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office programs.

Schedule

This position is on 2nd shift and would consist of five-eight-hour work days, and would be eligible for voluntary overtime.

About Our Location Our newly renovated Sidney campus has 1M square feet of manufacturing floor with an additional 120k square feet of leading-edge lab facilities. This location is the headquarters for our HVACR Americas business unit. Through our many years of compressor expertise, our products help bring comfort and convenience to refrigeration, commercial, industrial, and residential spaces. Approximately 1600 employees work in Sidney, who all support a multitude of business functions.
