Mechanical Systems Design & Analysis Engineer (Associate and Mid-Level)

Boeing Global Services (BGS) Engineering team is creating and implementing innovative technologies that make the impossible possible and enable the future of aerospace. We provide engineering design and support, including aftermarket modifications, and are innovating to make product and service safety even stronger. This position involves working on a variety of tankers and commercial derivative aircraft, offering an exciting opportunity to utilize mechanical systems expertise to make an immediate and long-lasting impact on USAF's large aircraft fleets.

Responsibilities

• Supports the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid system and thermal environment
• Supports the development, maintenance, or modification of system designs/proposals to provide design documentation and high-level requirements to downstream users/customers
• Performs detail design development and modification of mechanical and fluid system installations
• Performs spatial integration at system or component level and modification of mechanisms/landing gear/ordinance systems
• Assists in preparing technical documents for mechanical components and systems
• Assists in supporting proposal preparation and new business development efforts
• Works under general supervision

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Material Sciences)
• 2 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
• Experience with troubleshooting aircraft systems
• Experience with aircraft modifications
• Must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process
• Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements (U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.62, including U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required; an interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required)

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
• Previous experience working with aircraft fuel systems
• Master’s degree

Pay

• Associate: $79,050 – $106,950
• Mid-Level: $96,050 – $129,950

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
