Responsibilities

  • Aids and supports projects and operations in the direct procurement process.
  • Assists in preparing draft project-specific Request for Quotations (RFQ) for equipment suppliers and/or manufacturers, ensuring compliance with GBC contract terms.
  • Assists in prequalifying potential bidders.
  • Assists in technical bid evaluations.
  • Assists in preparing purchase recommendations.
  • Assists in preparing purchase order (PO) content before release to the purchasing department.
  • Assists in reviewing POs before release to suppliers.
  • Maintains oversight of the order lifecycle from submittal approval to shipment or assignment.
  • Engages with vendors regularly to monitor delivery activities and verify receipt of major packages.
  • Contributes to the quarterly company market publication.
  • Counsels and mentors less experienced team members.
  • Sustains a positive and inclusive work environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in engineering, subcontracting, sourcing, or supply chain.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of subcontract documents, drawings, and specifications.
  • Understanding of contractual terms, conditions, and risk mitigation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiating skills.
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with changing priorities.
