Mechanical Superintendent - Commercial

About the role

The Mechanical Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all mechanical operations within a commercial facility, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and repair of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and other mechanical equipment.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and emergency response plans.
• Collaborate with other departments to optimize energy efficiency and reduce costs.
• Manage a team of maintenance technicians and contractors.
• Prepare and present reports on facility maintenance activities and cost savings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering or facility management.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Knowledge of building codes and industry standards.
