Mechanical Superintendent - Commercial

About the role

The Mechanical Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operation of mechanical systems in a commercial setting. This includes ensuring all equipment operates efficiently and safely, and addressing any issues that arise.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of mechanical systems
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve complex mechanical issues
• Train and mentor junior staff members

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering or related field
• Proven ability to manage and train a team
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Pay

Salary range: $80,000 - $100,000 annually
