Mechanical Project Manager/Estimator - Special Projects

Primary Duties

• Cook up unit replacement leads, get in touch with customers, arrange site reviews, and assess equipment and/or system replacement prices.
• Evaluate system efficiency for proposed design/build improvements. Work with the design team and engineers on any questions that arise.
• Offer engineering costs if necessary.
• Get equipment and material quotes relevant to individual jobs.
• Build replacement/job costs.
• Create HVAC proposals and discuss proposed work with customers. Answer any questions they might have.
• Coordinate signed work with other project managers and schedule accordingly.
• Oversee job execution. Collaborate with other ITL divisions as needed.
• Handle large project events (crane lifts, factory startups, owner trainings, etc.).
• Compile and distribute any close out documents. As-built drawings, warranties as needed.
• Ensure billing is done promptly.
• Promote service opportunities to ITL service division.
• Encourage safety and uphold core values.

Secondary Duties

• Participate in pre-construction turnover and wrap-up meetings.
• Prepare, review, distribute, and track submittal status for completing the "buy-out" process.
• Assist in subcontract (General Contractor/Subcontractors) execution as required.
• Compile and distribute closeout documentation with accurate "As-builts."
• Keep updated logs for RFI's and COR's pertaining to the assigned projects.
• Stay current with drawings distributed to both the field and office for all projects.

• 5-10 years of HVAC experience.
• Project management experience (preferred).
• Strong organizational skills.
• Effective teamwork ability.
