About the role

Tonkin Parts Center is seeking a Mechanical Parts Counter Sales Associate to join their team. This position offers a professional office setting with no retail store hours, allowing for better work-life balance.

Responsibilities

• Assist wholesale customers with part selection and order fulfillment
• Locate or order parts as needed, ensuring timely delivery
• Prepare and process invoices for parts deliveries
• Collaborate with the Parts Department to manage inventory levels
• Process special order parts and follow up on back-ordered items
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with wholesale customers
• Provide technical assistance and guidance to customers
• Identify upselling opportunities to increase revenue

Qualifications

• Prior experience in auto parts retail or similar settings is preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks
• Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook and inventory management software
• Attention to detail for accuracy in processing orders
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Mental challenges to grow professionally
• High school diploma or equivalent
