Mechanical Maintenance Planner
Georgia-Pacific’s Alabama River Cellulose mill has an exciting opportunity in Monroe County. Recognized as one of the largest pulp operations in North America, the mill is a major economic driver and one of the largest employers in the region.
About the role
Provide detailed maintenance shutdown and daily work planning and materials procurement for a major area of a paper-producing facility. Develop maintenance plans using Microsoft Project and the 4Site CMMS system. Directly support mill maintenance crews and contractors during shutdowns and outages. Daily communication with craftspeople, operations, contractor representatives, and materials suppliers. Promote safe work execution through detailed Job Hazard Analysis documentation and compliance with all Georgia-Pacific permitting and procedures. Continuously update CMMS information, such as Bills of Materials and ordering specifications. Perform rotating weekend on-call duty for the entire mill and may cover duties of other mechanical leaders.
Requirements
- Experience with maintenance planning in an industrial, chemical, or manufacturing environment
- Experience with a computerized maintenance management system (e.g., 4Site, PassPort, SAP)
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Projects)
Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher
- Maintenance/reliability experience in the pulp and paper industry
