Mechanical Fluids Engineer
Key Responsibilities
- Review and interpret P&IDs
- Breakdown of design requirements
- Capture and organize the documentation for a design package (Concept of Operations, Requirements, BOM, CAD Models/Drawing, Vendor Data, Analysis)
- Design of process piping and mechanical systems (Design Considerations: thermal expansion, ease of manufacturing, minimizing pressure drop)
- Sizing and Selection of tubing, piping, and associated components (Valve, Regulators, Relief Valves, Check Valves, Filters, Instrumentation)
- Conduct Engineering Analysis (Hand Calcs, FMEA, Simulations)
- Participate in informal and formal design reviews
- Work directly with vendors on component selection
- Support root cause analysis and corrective action
- Support a forward-thinking attitude to continuous process improvement
- Provide mentorship to less experienced Engineers
- Work directly with the various departments (manufacturing, procurement, quality, commissioning, field ops, finance)
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 6-10 years of experience in Mechanical or Fluid Design Engineering with at least 5 years in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with construction, fabrication, and testing of large-scale process equipment
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and data management tools (Autodesk Vault)
- Prior experience with leading design reviews and drawing approvals
- Knowledge and experience with ASME B31.3 Process Piping

This Engineer position will play a critical part in supporting the design, development, and manufacturing process. This role involves a deep understanding of mechanical and process piping design and the ability to create a complete design packages from concept to manufacturable drawings.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $57.00/hr.
