Key Responsibilities
- Designing and developing electro-acoustics products such as boom assemblies, microphones, hearing protection, and military communication systems.
- Creating detailed 3D models, drawings, and BOMs, and testing prototypes.
- Driving system capabilities for current and future products, ensuring manufacturability (DFM/DFA) and quality.
- Coinciding validation/testing, analyzing performance, and presenting data to management.
- Managing multiple projects, supporting product transitions to high-volume production, and drafting ECOs.
Qualifications And Skills
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years in mechanical design.
- Experience in electro-mechanical design, manufacturing processes (injection molding, CNC, sheet metal, additive manufacturing).
- Proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred), FEA modeling, and understanding of DFM/DFA best practices.
- Knowledge of acoustic modeling, EMI reduction, and technical drawing standards (ASME 14.5Y).
- Familiarity with ISO9001/AS9100 systems and effective cross-department communication.
