About the role
We are seeking experienced electrical engineers and technicians to support data centre technology, with a focus on cooling systems.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and inspect cooling equipment and mechanical services installation work.
- Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) with customers.
- Perform product testing, commissioning, live cutovers, and customer acceptance protocols for final handovers.
- Ensure compliance with Australian Standards (AS/NZS) for mechanical and refrigeration systems.
- Develop expertise in Delta cooling products, including PAC units, In-Row cooling racks, CDU, and AALC systems.
- Conduct scheduled preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
- Provide remote technical support and on-site user training.
- Respond to emergency callouts and offer 24/7 standby support on a rotational basis.
- Advise customers professionally, uphold brand values, and build trust.
- Follow health, safety, and quality standards; contribute to process and quality improvements.
- Share knowledge and mentor junior team members.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience with high-precision air conditioning systems in critical infrastructure, preferably data centres.
- Mechanical qualification or relevant experience; refrigeration trade license is advantageous.
- Fluent in English; proficient in MS Office tools.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and manual handling skills.
- Willingness to travel interstate and work weekends as needed.
