About the Role
As a Mechanical Equipment Technician, you will play a crucial role in the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of equipment used in the manufacturing process. You will also be responsible for continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining compliance with safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Install new equipment, ensuring proper configuration and integration with existing systems.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions using mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic principles.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on a variety of equipment, from basic component replacements to more complex system overhauls.
- Identify opportunities for improving equipment reliability, efficiency, and safety, and suggest modifications or upgrades.
- Maintain accurate records of all installations, repairs, and maintenance activities, and prepare reports as required.
- Adhere to safety regulations and ensure equipment operates in a safe and compliant manner.
Requirements
- Education: An associate's degree or technical certification in mechanical, industrial, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 1 year of hands-on experience as an Equipment Technician or in a similar role within a manufacturing/production environment.
- Essential Skills:
- Mechanical Aptitude: Understanding of mechanical principles, including power transmission, bearings, gears, and hydraulics.
- Electrical Knowledge: Ability to read electrical schematics, troubleshoot circuits, and work safely with electrical systems (AC/DC, motors, and control systems).
- Pneumatic Systems: Basic understanding of pneumatic components and their operation.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent diagnostic and analytical skills to identify and resolve equipment issues.
- Communication: Ability to communicate technical information clearly, both verbally and in writing.
Qualifications

Benefits
The U.S. base hourly rate for this full-time position is $32/hr., plus eligibility for bonus and benefits. The salary range is determined by factors such as the role, level, and geographic location.
