About the role

Lincoln Electric’s Automation facility in Bettendorf, IA is looking for bright, driven engineering individuals to join the Mechanical Engineering Internship Program. This program connects your academic foundation with real-world, hands-on experience in mechanical engineering. Interns will work alongside experienced engineers to design, build, and debug custom robotic work cells and industrial automation systems.

This position requires participation in an Immersion Day at the Cleveland, OH headquarters during one of your first few weeks. Lincoln Electric will provide and cover all travel arrangements and expenses.

Responsibilities

• Develop custom manufacturing equipment tailored to specific customer requirements.
• Design and implement robotic systems for customer applications with a focus on automation.
• Engineer robotic solutions to optimize internal manufacturing processes.
• Conduct engineering analysis on mechanical designs to validate performance, identify improvements, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Requirements

• Pursuing or having achieved a bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Eligible to work in the U.S. on a full-time, permanent basis without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• An engineering degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or related technologies.
• Minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
• Desire to work in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Familiarity with OSHA, SDS, and ANSI (RIA) safety standards.
