Responsibilities
- Utilize technical software programs on a regular basis to analyze and produce deliverables for our clients.
- Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients’ requirements for the future built environment.
- Develop familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn’s and our client’s practices, procedures, and standards.
- Perform general mechanical engineering tasks supporting various project tasks as required, such as dry-mechanical, wet-mechanical, plumbing/process systems.
- Tasks could include developing floor plans, flow diagrams, schedules, details and calculations such as pump head calculations, pipe sizing and distribution, and selection of equipment, etc.
- Support our collaboration of multi-discipline Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing/process piping, Instrumentation & Controls, Telecom/Technology team specifically working on large scale Building Systems engineering designs.
- Project type will vary but may include Advanced Technology, Industrial, Micro-electronics, Mission Critical, Hospitals, Central Utility Plants and more.
Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in a similar mechanical engineering role
- An ABET accredited engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters) in Mechanical Engineering
- EIT/EI certification or have the ability to obtain certification
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to apply technical skills to meet project demands and solve problems for our clients
- Positive attitude and an impressive work ethic
- Clear sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet deadlines
- Attention to details and ability to contribute to a positive work environment
- Skilled in Revit and AutoCAD, and exposure to Pipeflo software
Pay
Salary range: $90,000 - $135,000
